Since you guys are practically masters at graphical art, why not jump ahead and seek out someone? You guys should consider Bungie. I'm sure they'd appreciate any backgrounds, or modified screenshots you could give them. I think you guys should take a moment to boast and brag about what you know.

Theres a fine line between Master and Enthusiast
I for one am nowhere near a Master of Graphic Design and I proudly admit it, I haven't learned everything that could be learned from the art. I still have to read tutorials from time to time to learn a new technique, tip, or trick.
I see exactly what you're saying but with a reputation of a studio of the likes of Bungie coming to seek our expertise, well thats sort of improbable don't you think?
Our staff of GFX Designers are a bit scarce at the moment, but if our Designer base increases substantially, maybe then smaller studios may drop in a see whats up. In a real-world point, I think if some of the designers here wanted to work at Bungie, they probably could with the experience at hand. But KFX Graphics alone, that will take some work.

You can't wait for Bungie to find this sight. I'm sure that your concerned if they don't see enough, then they won't consider, but that's where chance comes in. You have to push for your goal, reach out and grab it. Dude, I honestly think you should take a step towards Bungie, whether you think you're ready or not. The mystery is where the anxiety comes from.
Besides, they'll never know how good you are unless you show them, and you'll never know how good you are unless you prove it.

I see what you're saying Leo
Lets see if some of the graphics designers on this site will find this thread and see what they think.
You're right though, no point in not trying, worst they can say is "No".

Exactly, and dude, you're not going to get a no. They're probably going to hold onto you until you get some more exp. (I'm sorry if that came out wrong) and then think of what you could do. You'd be dircetly associated with one of the most beastly gaming communities on earth, no exxageration there. I think you can pull it off.

Have you gone elsewhere? 01-14-08 08:15 PM - Post#7735
hey, if you don't get in with Bungie, there's a whole market full of developers to join. there's Bioware, Bethesda, Blizzard, Dice, Lionhead, Red Octane, Neversoft, Harmonix, Eidos, NCsoft, Capcom, Infinity Ward, Kaos, and many more i can't think of. It all depends on what type of games you wanna work for. I'd personally go for Bioware, even though they work in canada. I love RPG's, and they are the gods at this moment. Oh, and they add bacon to their beer. In Canada, I mean.

Well, at any rate, Blizzard wouldn't be too bad; they put out Diablo!
