i'll start with the 360 due to it being my personal favorite:

Halo 3: despite the crapload of hype being built on it, it should be worth the 60 dollars for non-hardcore fans. all versions come with an awesome new game mode that goes next to Campaign and Multiplayer, which is now called Forge. it acts as a map editor AND a multiplayer mode, in some sense. you can have multiple people playing it on and offline, but you don't have any real rules set. instead, you have all players start as a monitor, like the ones from the other halo's. they go around placing objects as they wish, and immediatly jump into the map to test stuff. they have alot of options to choose from, and can save/share their own game modes. you can also watch the matches and take screenshots with the new saved films feature. it's not so much a film as it is a game reinactment, keeping track of everyones moves and shots and exactly what they did. that means you can move the camera anywhere.

America's Army: it's like counterstrike, but you don't buy weapons. instead, you can customize what kind of scopes or whatever bipods/grenade launchers are on your gun and then pick your role for the battlefield. the only downside is that you have to finish training to be some roles. a good example is that i like to be a medic. in order to be a medic, you must learn real medical training, take a test on it, pass it, and then do "Field Training", or do a set up training course to learn how to heal on the game field. i actually learned how to stop bleeding, prepare and make a tourniquet, get you to breathe again without risking any injury to the neck, and how to do all of this the safest way possible. you can level up like in RPG's by getting points for accomplishing goals, getting kills, winning, and helping the team. you can get negative points by dying a lot, and i mean it takes quite a bit of dying, and by not obeying the ROE (Rules Of Engagement), which do not focus on the real rules. the ROE for the game consists of no friendly fire, no Team Killing, etc. if you break the ROE enough, you get sent to fort Lavensworth, or something like that. when sent there, you are also kicked from the game.

For the Wii, we've got:

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption: possibly the greatest FPS i've tried. it feels much better than PC FPS's, and maintains a good puzzle solving/platformer feel to it. it also takes place in much better settings than in MP2:Echoes. now you've been contaminated with phazon, and every once in a while you can use it to power you up so you can kick major butt. however, using it for too long risks you of becoming corrupted, and it slowly does it's job over the course of the game. there's also a neat lock on feature that wasn't done so great in the last 2 games (not counting the DS one, which strayed from the story). it keeps the enemy you're locked onto in the screen at all times, but you must still aim to kill them. in previous ones, it fixed the screen on them, so you just move and shoot, no aiming. this game is great, but it contains several parts where players can get easily stuck, and the story gets a little stupid when one of your fellow Bounty Hunters has to rescue you 3 times.

Super Smash Brothers Brawl: it's Super Smash, with awsome new characters! you can now play as Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid (kinda stupid), Samus Aran outside of her Chozo Suit, and a Pokemon Trainer. His main attack consists of throwing pokeballs hoping for a good pokemon to come out. you've got many more new characters as well, along with new controls and eveything. but then again, it's Super Smash, so you can expect how it'll play.

now for the PS3:

WarHawk: this game is very nice if you don't mind the faulty online score tracking. it doesn't keep track of your kills in a game. onoz! so what is there to make this game at all fun? it's basically Battlefield with the Warhawk Name on it, which equals awesome gameplay! the Hawks duke it out in the sky, the teams frantically try to capture and secure ground, and strategic choke points become your enemy. you gotta cross a bridge, but the enemy is sniping. you know what to do? neither do i. then the sniper gets blown up by a tank, and you decide to make your move, but then 2 warhawks begin raining fire from above, destroy the tank and begin to focus on the bridge. you're halfway across until they have their crosshairs on you. luckily, your bud has a rocket launcher, and takes one of them down. the other one begins firing on you, however, and you don't make it across in one piece. that's in 30 seconds. i know, it's awsome.

Resistance: Fall of Man: if you have a PS3, but not this, then what's wrong with you? it's old, it's got aliens, and you can fire a tommy gun with about 40 other players on a map trying to survive team deathmatches!

X360
Frontlines: Fuel of War
Set in the future where resources have become scarce, America and Europe have allied against Russia and Asia (no specific nations were mentioned, i believe). With an alternative energy source at hand, we are leaving the second great depression and entering World War 3. It is not fought on any of the contender's land, but rather in the middle east, scavanging for the remaining oil. The game boasts over 60 vehicles and weapons, mostly destructible enviroments, and 32 players on one server. Best of all? There is no or minimal lag, because it runs on dedicated servers. The maps are pretty large, and gameplay is similar to battlefield, but the 4 classes are drastically different. One class can use RC vehicles to recon and take out some infantry while another class utilize EMP gadgets to render enemy armored vehicles temporarily usless. These abilities get better the longer to use them in a multiplayer match, but must be re-earned in the next multiplayer game you play so that people can't immediatly call in aeirial bombardment and destroy the opposition that early in the game.

Elderscrolls IV: Oblivion ( of the Year Edition):

Incredible g@me, awesome graphics, ENDLESS QUESTS (seriously), decent loading time, and over-all incredible gamng experience. This is by far the greatest role playing g@me I've ever played. If you've played Morrowind, you'llbe relieved at how much easier it is to lockpick, block, and travel. Horses are now a common site, so are heavily armored Imperial guards rding them. Along with smarter enemies who WILL chase you into and out of a city and across the coutry, there are other smaller malitias that will aid you as much as any other guard. All the guilds are available to you as well. These include the Fighters, Mages, and Theives guilds. Also, the Dark Brotherhod, Mythic Dawn, and Blades are joinable too. Nearly everything in this g@me is interactible and ultmatly, destructable. Your character choices are still the same, however, Khajitt and Argonians have more human forms to them.

P.S: Sorry to rain on your parade Omega, I needed to get this one down.

np man, if you post, then i do, it's not a double post. WIN! you may want to check your spelling a bit... might as well not waste this space:

PC
Guild Wars
Wanna enjoy the fun of an MMO without the loss of money? Go buy yourself a copy of Guild Wars!(Not the Eye of the North expansion, it requires one of the 3 core games and does not work by itself) With Guild Wars, you enter a new world which has very new and innovative features in the MMO biz, such as the private combat zones which only you and your party can enter, which reduces lag and also requires your team to work on strategy based on the classes there are. The game does have its weak points, such as the possibility (sp) of lonlyness and the wierd economy. But for free, every month? It's worth a try! It works on low end computers nicely, and looks beautiful! The story is linear, like a Final Fantasy Game, but it works in the MMO setting. Note: Most likly easier to enjoy if you are already a fan of another MMO.

Imber, you want to let me borrow Oblivion because I can't find the original version anywhere.

Anyways:

Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
After 3 games set in the WWII era, game maker Infinity Ward takes Call Of Duty to the next level, a modern level. Play through a cinematic 18 mission storyline or take your sights an focus on the deep multiplayer. COD4: Modern Warfare does not follow current events, but a fictional event(s) that involve the handy work of British SAS and USMC First Force Recon. The Campaign is a fan of shooter's, "Shrine", and its good for multiple play-throughs. On the Multiplayer side of things, I can't say much because I haven't been online yet but it is deep. Perks is a new system to COD online which emnables you to boost your online play experience by picking up attributes that help you advance in your match. You can also Create your own class for online and trick it ot with what you please, the more you level up and rank the more options you have! strongly recommend this game for any fan of Shooter's and some awesome action.

AND I bet he wants me to give him the disc that contains the "Shivering Isles" and "Knights of the Nine" expansions so he can give it to you to install on your xbox as well, am I right? It's free, and it's not pirating. It's sharing among friends in real life places.

Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War Rated M for Mature
Love Starcraft, but think it's getting old? Maybe you have a nack for miniature gaming, or strategy games. I would recommend Dawn of War here . Platinum Edition, featuring the original game and it's first 2 expansion packs, is merely $30 and a wonderful deal. Specs aren't bad, as the graphics lack the current gen luster. There are 7 factions so far, and great variety among them. There are the savage green skin Orks, the honorable Ultra Marines, the arrogant elf-like Eldar, the evil Chaos Marines, the Human Imperials, the death machines known as the Necrons, and the communist aliens known as the Tau. You can pick your colors, your alleigance, and whose blood shall be shed in this great RTS! This game is based on the tabletop game Warhammer 40,000.

Note: A new expansion is on the way, known as Soulstorm, and shall feature 2 new races, one being the piratical Dark Eldar. The expansion will introduce Airbourne units. Marines with jetpacks apparently didn't count.

Only 233MB?! Dang, whatcha got on your hard drive that requires so much! I don't think that with that amount, you'd be able to get much Expansions vary in size, here are the links, look under specs.

Rock Band
Awsome. How else can I say it? Magnificent. Exhilerating. Wonderful. Take the Guitar Hero gameplay, add character creation/ customization, the development of your band from bars to standium gigs, and a LOT of songs, especially if you can download more songs online. From Metallica, to Bon Jovi, to Nirvana, to Nine Inch Nails... and then there's the people you never heard before, and they're GOOD. There's a song from South Park on there, and the Singer can yell "Timmy!"!!! Whenever you do a gig (normally 3 songs or so) you get paid and earn fans, and you unlock new gigs by getting more fans. Character customization is really deep, my character has green liberty spikes for hair, goggles, flame tatoos around the eyes so it looks like flames are coming out behind my goggles, a chainsaw guitar, and spikes coming out of my clothes. Oh, and for those interested/ worried about the part where singers don't constantly sing, they also do tamborine and cowbell. I've always wanted a Cowbell Hero, and they add it in Rock Band. Drums are the most challenging to me, but that's a matter of opinion. All instruments are fun, and makes for great laughs. In fact, only one problem can be seen: In a gig, you switch songs without loading, so it doesn't load a new character in for the singer. Why is this bad? Imagine a chick singing Iron Maiden. LOL.

256MB memory card, with all the things they preloaded the system with, I guess thats what took up the space, I only have about 5MB in game saves

I'm really thinking about asking for a used HD from gamestop, 20GB for $60. That sounds pretty good to me.

PC: World in Conflict
You will need a good system to experience the full beauty of it; mine has tree textures popping in and out constantly, since my comp is craptacular. oh, and drop zone gas has no color. my new comp will run it on high when it's done...
anyway, WiC takes place in an alternate future where the Cold War went bad. Russia invades America *gasp* and now the two duke it out.
The game has practically no resource management; you earn points for competing in battle that go toward things like Airstrikes and Artillerystrikes. There is a Nuke available as well, but is hard to earn. To get units you wait and call for a reinforcement drop. BTW, There is a limit on units that can be out at one time. You can capture bases by keeping units there, battlefield style, until captured. The longer units are placed there, the more defenses are built up.
Multiplayer is insanely fun. You pick one role: Infantry, Armor, Air, or Support. Each one has about 6-8 units, and it makes the game fast paced by allowing players less things to focus on. Communication is the key to success, as this is a fast paced, actiony RTS. The levels range from epic, to fun, to laughable. Epic? The Statue of Liberty with choppas flying by is awesome. Fun? Moving forward a frontline, power wavering back and forth. Laughable? The christmas level with lit up houses that have snowmen in front. Troops can be placed inside of them, and any other buildings mind you, for defense. Buildings and structures like bridges are destructible.
Wonderful game in my opinion, takes some getting used to with the lack of gathering resources, but it's fun.

I agree. It's a very unique type of game. In it you can live the life you want. If you want to be a criminalas a proffession, go ahead! Military man, absolutely! I especially like the fac that you can even die and be a ghost (even if it does get boring after a while).
